About this site

Hey there! My name is Iliana, I am a technical product manager @ Hyperspace Ventures - a VC/development agency helping entrepreneurs launch their companies and digital products. So far, I have had the chance to manage the development and launch of 40+ digital products (mobile apps + web apps), along with overseeing/observing many more. Throughout the years, I have seen dozens of entrepreneurs make good and bad decisions, with some of them making six figures within a couple of months of launching, while others struggling to acquire users. The decisions founders make for their business are critical for the company's success and outcome. I started "Maximum Viable Products" to share my passion for MVPs, entrepreneurship and the many lessons I am learning along the way.

What is a Maximum Viable Product?

In the world of startups, the terms "Minimum Viable Product" and "Maximum Value Product" are essential parts of a product launch strategy.

💡
Minimum Viable Product: a product with enough features to attract early-adopter customers and validate a product idea early in the product development cycle. (www.productplan.com)Maximum Value Product: a product that provides the maximum value to its users given the constraints placed upon it.

However, even if simple, their execution proves to be hard and requires focus, clear prioritization and deep knowledge about your industry and potential users.

After working with many clients who struggled to understand what those types of products are, I saw just how difficult it is for people to slash their dream to 1/10 of what they want. One particular client was having a hard time letting go of his vision and one day a co-worker of mine exclaimed:

We are not building a MINIMUM viable product, we are building a MAXIMUM viable product!

So even though the term "Maximum Viable Product" doesn't exist, it gave us a good laugh and I thought this is the perfect way to name this blog. Building the impossible and unknown while keeping a positive and fun attitude is one of the best ways to enjoy the journey of building MVPs. In this blog, I will be sharing the ups, the downs, the fun, the not-so-fun of my experiences of helping entrepreneurs launch their companies, along with the tips and tricks I collect over time. And might share a story or two about funny encounters.

I hope you enjoy reading and make sure to subscribe to never miss a thing :)
